Our Amazing Brain, Neuroscience's New Discoveries & the Implications for Us

In the
past 15 years, neuroscience has demon-strated the existence of
neurotransmitter circuits in the brain that can be altered and
redirected by our thoughts, feelings, beliefs, relationships, and
external environment. Research has shown that the brain is a dynamic,
connective, and socially seeking organ. Come learn about some of these
new developments - mirror neurons, differences in men and
women's brains, ways to deal with our reactivity, etc.

Human
beings hurt each other inadvertently in big and small ways. When there
has been any degree of wrongdoing or nonloving action from the
slightest hurtful comment to a more serious betrayal, the relationship
is jeopardized. Making amends is about the restoration of goodwill and
connection. Come learn about the amazing capacity we have to develop
compassion for ourselves and others, and in turn, to be able to forgive
others who have hurt and disappointed us.

Here we are entering 2011 ...
The Second Decade of the 21st Century
May this next year be filled with hope, good health,
& happiness for you & your family!
I
had a wonderful time in New York visiting my daughter and
grand-daughter. We were there for the big snow storm, but were out and
about everyday traveling by subway, taxi, or bus doing and seeing some
interesting things.
I
am going to Miami to assist at a three day couples workshop leaving
January 13th and back in the office Monday, January 17th. Hedy Schleifer
is a mentor and friend of mine. She and her husband, Yumi, do a
variation of the Imago couples weekend. I am excited about learning from
her and absorbing her upbeat, positive energy. She generally has about
40 couples attending the weekend. I will be there to assist and support
couples as they do their exercises.
This
Winter and Spring, I have several exciting happenings planned. I will
keep you posted by sending a newsletter every month or two. I offer FREE
workshops each month at Crazy Wisdom Bookstore on Sundays from 2 - 4:30
pm. The next two FREE workshops will be announced in this newsletter.

Special Advanced Couples Workshop
March 26 2 - 9 pm
This is a special workshop for couples who have attended a couples weekend or
who have made good progress in couples therapy. A catered dinner will
be included. Bring your relationship for a "tune-up." It will be
